Therapeutic Massage

What You Can Expect

  • You will be treated with respect in a safe and nurturing environment
  • You will be given a professional and ethical massage
  • You will be fully covered with a sheet except for the area being massaged
  • You may stop any part of the massage that feels uncomfortable
  • You may choose to have a "full-body" massage or prefer to have only certain areas worked
  • If you have any serious health problems, you may need approval from your healthcare professional
  • Please allow an additional 30 minutes for your initial appointment for consultation and health history review
  • In preparation for your massage, it would be helpful if you would identify any parts of your body where you hold tension and also any activities or movements that cause pain or discomfort
  • Because the massage will release waste products/toxins from your tissues, it is important to drink extra water for a day or two after the massage. Bathing with Epsom Salts (magnesium sulfate) can also be very helpful
